Your first process, step by step.

Before you begin

You need Jira Cloud, an administrator-installed app and a paid JFI account with API access. The app license and JFI plan are separate. Public installation depends on the approved listing becoming available.

1. Administrator installation

Open the official app listing, choose your Jira site and review permissions and terms before confirming installation. If you do not administer the site, copy the installation request from the integration page and share it through your team's internal channel. Do not send your API key to the administrator.

2. Connect JFI once

Open Settings, API keys in JFI. Create a dedicated key named Just Flow It for Jira. Select only generate and diagrams:read. Deselect write and folder permissions if they are selected.

Pro accounts use a personal key. For a Team workspace, a person allowed to manage keys must use the organization context. Follow the account's organization prompt or ask the JFI account owner if required.

Copy the key shown at creation. In Jira, open a work item, choose Just Flow It from the app actions, paste the key and select Connect account. The connection works across work items in this installation. Each Jira user connects their own account.

3. Generate the example

Use a test work item: an employee submits an expense report. A manager reviews it. If approved, finance reimburses the employee. If rejected, the employee corrects the report and resubmits it to the manager.

Review the displayed description and choose Generate BPMN. This sends the text to JFI and uses your allowance. There is no repeated checkbox for each diagram.

4. Confirm the first result

Check the three roles and both decision paths. Confirm that corrections return to review. Open Procedure to inspect the activities. Download PNG image and SOP PDF. Choose the document label language and review the result before use.

5. Try another work item

Open another work item. Your connection should already be available. Review the new description and generate without pasting the key again.

If something gets in your way

• Missing app: confirm installation and open the work item's app actions. Jira requires access and edit permission to expose the panel.
• Missing API access: check your JFI plan and personal or organization context.
• Rejected key: check generate and diagrams:read, or create an active key.
• Uncertain generation outcome: check your JFI diagrams before reconnecting and trying again.
• PDF unavailable: choose Retry PDF. It does not generate another diagram.

Disconnect removes the saved connection. It does not delete JFI diagrams or cancel subscriptions. Support: contato@justflow.it. Never include the API key in a support request.
